That Vegan Chef Catering
That Vegan Chef has been my private chef and yoga retreat catering business for the past 8 years and I have LOVED it!
At HeartSpaceHouse, That Vegan Chef catering is included in the price of your stay - that’s three meals per day plus snacks that you don’t need to worry about!
On a retreat, the food is so integral to the experience as a whole - I’ve spent the last 8 years working with numerous teachers to create delicious, seasonal menus that are a perfect fit for their event.
At HeartSpaceHouse, included in the cost of your stay, you will receive 3 meals per night stayed including:
Breakfast either plated or family style with a fresh juice or smoothie, fresh fruit, yoghurt, homemade granola and a different main dish everyday
Lunch either plated or family style including lots of fresh salads, soups and seasonal produce
Dinner, again plated or family style, with a plated dessert filled with holistically chosen ingredients and using only naturally unrefined sugars
Snacks throughout the day including bliss balls, cookies, fresh fruit
All teas (YogiTea teabags, loose-leaf chamomile, mint and chai tea and Yorkshire tea with a varity of plant-based milks) and coffee (organic beans in our Philips Baristina bean-to-cup espresso machine)
Everything I create is homemade and plant-based - I’ve spent many years also creating fully gluten free cakes and dishes too! I pride myself on being able to cater for any dietary restriction without compromising on flavour, because just because you can’t have something doesn’t mean you should miss out!
Throughout the years, people always comment on my surprising sense of calm whilst cooking for guests (even when it was 36 guests and I was still doing everything on my own!) and I can only put it down to the fact that it’s because I love what I do. It truly feels like this is where I’m supposed to be and nourishing people is what I’m supposed to be doing. Guests often tell me they can taste the love I put into the food.
I’m really interested in the Ayurvedic principles related to cooking, the use of spices and the different tastes. I strive to create exciting menus that are also nutritionally balanced using health-giving ingredients.
I’ve found that ingredients here in France far surpass the quality of that I was used to in England. Since cooking here, I have found the flavours of the food I can create is amplified and it’s a joy to use organic, locally grown produce - supporting the community that has accepted us! We try to order as much produce as possible from the organic farm only 10 minutes away from us Les Pousses Vertes for our retreats as the quality is unparalleled!
